• Your cards stay on your iPhone. Cards, reviews, imported decks, pictures and sounds are stored on your iPhone only. Reminders are local notifications, set and shown by your iPhone, and so is the one that comes after you share a page to RectoVerso.
• Cards made from a text: Apple Intelligence drafts them on your iPhone. The text doesn’t leave it.
• Pages and texts you share to RectoVerso (Safari’s share sheet, or another app’s): read on your iPhone from the page already open, and handed to the app there. Nothing is downloaded or sent.
• Backups and files you export: iPhone backups (to iCloud or a computer) include the app’s data, as for any app, under Apple’s terms. A library backup or an Anki export is a file that goes only where you put it: the app sends nothing anywhere.
• Links: Support and Privacy policy in the app’s Settings open this website in Safari, as any link does.

• Hosting: this site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States, which processes it on our behalf.
  • To deliver the pages and keep the service secure, Vercel handles technical data about each visit: your IP address, the location it suggests, the page asked for, and your browser and system details.
  • Vercel keeps this data no longer than it needs to, under its own privacy notice (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy). We don’t use it to identify anyone.
• Transfers: Vercel may process this data in the United States. It is certified under the Swiss–U.S. and EU–U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks, and uses standard contractual clauses for other transfers.
• Light or dark: if you pick one with the switch at the top of a page, your browser keeps the choice (in its local storage, on your device) so the next page opens the same way. It’s never sent to us or anyone else, and clearing this site’s data in your browser forgets it.
• Nothing else: no cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking. Fonts and pictures come from this site; nothing is loaded from other servers.

Under Switzerland’s Federal Act on Data Protection and, where it applies, the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted.

You can also complain to Switzerland’s Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, or to the data protection authority where you live in the EU.
