Does RectoVerso sync between devices?

No: your cards stay on your iPhone. To move them, back up your library to a file and restore it on the other phone (see Moving to a new iPhone).

Why don't I grade myself?

Because how much of the answer you needed says more than how you felt. Every answer records its effort, the letters you saw before answering. A card you knew from two letters comes back much later than one you had to read in full.

What does "3 of 8 letters" mean for the schedule?

That you needed three letters of an eight-letter answer. The schedule (FSRS-6) takes it as a success that needed help. Answering from nothing (“I know it”) counts as easy. Needing most of the answer counts as hard, and several answers like that make the card leaning.

Which Anki decks work?

Decks exported from Anki as .apkg, by any version of it. Basic, reversed and cloze cards come across, with their pictures, sounds and schedule. Image occlusion and drawings don’t (see Importing from Anki).

Is my text sent anywhere when I make cards from it?

No. Apple Intelligence writes the cards on your iPhone.

What if RectoVerso says it couldn't read my saved reviews?

The file is kept aside, never overwritten, and reviews from then on are saved as usual. A library backup includes the file set aside: send it to us and we’ll look.

Is exporting free?

Yes, always: backing up, restoring and exporting for Anki.

Why is there no Listen button?

The card has no recording, and its deck has no answer language: choose one in the deck’s ⋯ › Deck options › Answer language.
