Listen is under the answer once it’s revealed, when there’s something to hear:
- the card’s own recording, as in Anki decks with audio;
- its words, read aloud, in a deck whose answer language you’ve chosen.
RectoVerso never guesses the language. A deck can mix several, and a wrong voice teaches a wrong accent.
To choose it: a deck’s ⋯ › Deck options › Answer language. Read answers aloud then appears below it: turn it on to hear each answer as soon as it shows, without tapping Listen.
Better voices: in the iPhone’s Settings › Accessibility › Read & Speak › Voices, choose the language, then download a voice marked Enhanced or Premium. RectoVerso uses the best one installed.
